Step‑by‑Step Instructions for Butter Miso Noodles
  1. Fill a large pot with salted water and bring to a boil. Add noodles and cook per package instructions, usually 8-10 minutes. Reserve 1/4 cup pasta water, then drain noodles.
  2. In a medium pan over medium heat, melt the unsalted butter gently, stirring occasionally.
  3. Once butter has melted, add miso paste and soy sauce. Stir vigorously for 2-3 minutes until smooth and creamy.
  4. Add drained noodles to the pan with the sauce. Toss thoroughly to coat. If too thick, add reserved pasta water until desired consistency.
  5. Drizzle sesame oil if desired and taste, adjusting salt if necessary. The dish should be rich and creamy.
  6. Plate the Butter Miso Noodles and garnish with sliced green onions and sesame seeds if desired. Serve warm.

For best results, reheating on low heat is recommended to avoid separating the sauce. Adding fresh green onions before serving enhances the flavor.
