Preheat your oven to 375°F.
Season the chicken breasts with salt, pepper, and garlic powder.
Set up a breading station: place the flour in one shallow dish, whisk the eggs in another dish, and place the breadcrumbs in a third dish.
Dredge each chicken breast in flour, shaking off the excess, then dip into the eggs, and finally coat with breadcrumbs.
In a large oven-safe skillet, heat 2 tablespoons of olive oil over medium heat. Add the breaded chicken breasts and cook for about 4-5 minutes on each side until golden brown.
Pour marinara sauce over the chicken, then sprinkle mozzarella and Parmesan cheese on top.
Transfer the skillet to the preheated oven and bake for 20-25 minutes, or until the chicken is cooked through and the cheese is bubbly and golden.
If using, garnish with fresh basil before serving.
