Preheat your oven to 375°F (190°C).
In a medium bowl, combine the softened butter, minced garlic, dried parsley, dried oregano, salt, black pepper, and red pepper flakes (if using). Mix until well combined.
Slice each French bread loaf in half lengthwise.
Spread the garlic butter mixture generously over the cut sides of each loaf.
Sprinkle the shredded mozzarella cheese evenly over the buttered bread. Top with grated Parmesan cheese.
Place the bread halves on a baking sheet, cut side up.
Bake in the preheated oven for 12-15 minutes, or until the cheese is melted and bubbly, and the edges of the bread are golden brown.
Remove from the oven and let cool for a few minutes before slicing into pieces.
