Method
- In a skillet over medium heat, cook ground beef until browned. Add onion and cook until soft.
- Stir in garlic powder, onion powder, taco seasoning, salt, pepper, and salsa. Cook for 2–3 minutes.
- Remove from heat.
- Lay tortillas flat, sprinkle cheese on one half, then spoon beef mixture over the cheese. Top with more cheese and fold tortilla in half.
- Heat a clean skillet with butter or oil over medium heat. Cook quesadillas one at a time until golden and crispy on both sides.
- Slice and serve warm.
Notes
- Use a mix of cheddar and Monterey Jack for best melt.
- Add jalapeños or sautéed bell peppers for extra flavor.
- Pairs well with sour cream, guacamole, or pico de gallo.
