Ingredients

For the Dip:
  • 8 oz cream cheese softened
  • ½ cup sour cream
  • 1 tsp garlic powder
  • 1 tsp Italian seasoning
  • 1 cup marinara or pizza sauce
  • cups shredded mozzarella cheese
  • ½ cup shredded Parmesan cheese
  • ½ cup sliced pepperoni mini or regular, halved
Optional Garnish:
  • Chopped fresh basil
For Serving:
  • Breadsticks crackers, tortilla chips, or sliced baguette

Method

Prepare the Cream Cheese Base
  1. Preheat your oven to 375°F (190°C).
  2. Lightly grease a 9-inch pie dish or oven-safe skillet.
  3. In a medium bowl, mix the cream cheese, sour cream, garlic powder, and Italian seasoning until smooth and creamy.
  4. Spread the cream cheese mixture evenly in the prepared dish.
  5. Assemble the Dip
  6. Spread the marinara sauce evenly over the cream cheese layer.
  7. Sprinkle half of the mozzarella and Parmesan cheese over the marinara sauce.
  8. Arrange the pepperoni slices on top, then sprinkle with the remaining mozzarella and Parmesan cheese.
Bake the Dip
  1. Place the dish in the preheated oven and bake for 20–25 minutes, or until the cheese is melted and bubbling.
  2. For a golden, bubbly top, broil the dip for 1–2 minutes, keeping a close eye to avoid burning.
Serve and Enjoy
  1. Remove the dip from the oven and let it cool slightly.
  2. Garnish with chopped fresh basil for an extra burst of flavor and color.
  3. Serve warm with your favorite dippers like breadsticks, crackers, or sliced baguette.

Notes

  • Customizable: Add your favorite pizza toppings like diced bell peppers, mushrooms, or black olives for a personalized twist.
  • Make Ahead: Assemble the dip up to 24 hours in advance, cover, and refrigerate. Bake just before serving.
  • Reheating Leftovers: Warm leftovers in the oven at 350°F (175°C) or microwave individual portions until hot.
  • Dippers Galore: For variety, pair the dip with sliced veggies like carrots or celery for a lighter option.
