Method
 

Preparation Steps
  1. In a medium saucepan, combine pitted and halved fresh cherries with 2 tablespoons of water. Simmer over medium heat for 3-5 minutes.
  2. Bring 1 cup of water to a boil in a kettle. Pour it over 1 teaspoon of loose-leaf Earl Grey tea in a heatproof teapot or cup and steep for 3-5 minutes.
  3. Reduce the heat and add 1 cup of warm milk to the cherry mixture. Stir to combine and introduce a cinnamon stick if using. Warm for 2-3 minutes.
  4. Remove from heat and stir in 1-2 tablespoons of vanilla syrup, adjusting for sweetness. Mix until combined.
  5. Strain the cherry and milk mixture over the brewed Earl Grey tea in your mug. Serve warm or over ice.
