Ingredients

  • 1 pound boneless skinless chicken breasts, sliced into thin strips
  • 2 cups fresh green beans trimmed
  • 2 tablespoons vegetable oil
  • 3 cloves garlic minced
  • 1 tablespoon fresh ginger minced
  • 1/4 cup soy sauce
  • 1 tablespoon honey
  • 1 teaspoon sesame oil
  • 1/2 teaspoon red pepper flakes optional
  • Salt and pepper to taste
  • Cooked rice or noodles for serving

Method

  1. Heat 1 tablespoon of vegetable oil in a large skillet or wok over medium-high heat. Add the sliced chicken and season with salt and pepper. Cook for about 5-7 minutes, or until the chicken is browned and cooked through. Remove the chicken from the skillet and set aside.
  2. In the same skillet, add the remaining tablespoon of vegetable oil. Add the green beans and stir-fry for about 3-4 minutes until they are bright green and tender-crisp.
  3. Add the minced garlic and ginger to the skillet with the green beans, cooking for an additional 1 minute until fragrant.
  4. Return the cooked chicken to the skillet. In a small bowl, whisk together the soy sauce, honey, sesame oil, and red pepper flakes (if using). Pour this sauce over the chicken and green beans, stirring to combine. Cook for another 2-3 minutes until everything is heated through and the sauce is slightly thickened.
  5. Serve the stir-fry over cooked rice or noodles. Enjoy your meal!
