Chickpea Tofu Instructions
- In a medium mixing bowl, combine chickpea flour with 1 cup of water and whisk until smooth.
- In a saucepan, bring 1.5 cups of water to a rolling boil over medium-high heat.
- Gradually pour in the chickpea mixture while stirring continuously until thickened.
- Reduce the heat to low and let the mixture simmer for an additional 5-6 minutes.
- Pour the mixture into a mold and let it cool at room temperature for 10-15 minutes.
Silken Tofu Instructions
- Rinse 1 cup of dried chickpeas and soak them in water for at least 8 hours.
- After soaking, drain chickpeas, blend with 2 cups of fresh water until smooth.
- Strain the mixture through a nut milk bag to remove solids.
- Transfer the strained liquid into a saucepan and bring to a gentle boil while stirring.
- Let it simmer for about 20 minutes until thickened, then cool completely.
