  • 3 ripe bananas mashed
  • 1/3 cup melted butter
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
  • 1 teaspoon baking soda
  • Pinch of salt
  • 3/4 cup sugar
  • 1 large egg beaten
  • 1 cup all-purpose flour
  • 1/2 cup chocolate chips

Method
 

  1. Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C) and grease a 9x5-inch loaf pan.
  2. In a mixing bowl, combine the mashed bananas and melted butter until well mixed.
  3. Stir in the vanilla extract, baking soda, and salt.
  4. Add the sugar and beaten egg, mixing until fully incorporated.
  5. Gradually add the flour, stirring until just combined. Be careful not to overmix.
  6. Fold in the chocolate chips gently.
  7. Pour the batter into the prepared loaf pan and smooth the top.
  8. Bake for 60-65 minutes, or until a toothpick inserted into the center comes out clean.
  9. Let the banana bread cool in the pan for about 10 minutes, then transfer it to a wire rack to cool completely.
