Ingredients

  • 1 cup all-purpose flour
  • 1/2 cup cornstarch
  • 1/2 cup powdered sugar
  • 3/4 cup butter softened
  • Sanding sugar in pastel Easter colors

Method

  1. In a mixing bowl, whisk together flour, cornstarch, and powdered sugar.
  2. Add the softened butter and mix until a soft dough forms.
  3. Roll the dough into a log or flatten it into a disc, then wrap in plastic wrap and refrigerate for 30 minutes.
  4. Preheat oven to 325°F (165°C) and line a baking sheet with parchment paper.
  5. Roll out the dough to about 1/4-inch thickness and cut into desired shapes.
  6. Sprinkle with pastel sanding sugar and place cookies on the prepared baking sheet.
  7. Bake for 12-15 minutes, or until the edges are lightly golden.
  8. Let the cookies cool on the baking sheet for a few minutes before transferring to a wire rack.
  9. Serve and enjoy!

Notes

  • Chilling the dough helps prevent the cookies from spreading too much.
  • Use high-quality butter for the best flavor.
  • If you prefer a crispier cookie, bake for an additional 1-2 minutes.
  • Store in an airtight container at room temperature for up to a week.
