Step-by-Step Instructions for Creamy Coconut Chai
  1. Boil the Water and Spices: In a medium saucepan, bring 1½ cups of water to a rolling boil. Add in the cinnamon stick, cardamom pods, crushed fresh ginger, and whole cloves. Reduce heat and simmer gently for about 5 minutes.
  2. Steep the Black Tea: After spices have steeped, add black tea leaves or tea bags. Allow to steep for 3 to 5 minutes.
  3. Add Coconut Milk: Pour in the coconut milk and stir gently. Simmer on low for an additional 2 to 3 minutes.
  4. Sweeten to Taste: Stir in coconut sugar if desired and adjust to taste.
