Preparation Steps
- Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C).
- Trim the ends off the fresh green beans, rinse them thoroughly and pat dry.
- In a mixing bowl, whisk together cream of mushroom soup, milk, soy sauce, and black pepper.
- Gently fold the green beans into the sauce.
- Pour the mixture into a greased baking dish and smooth the top.
- Sprinkle half of the French's fried onions over the top.
- Bake for 20–25 minutes until hot and bubbling.
- Remove from oven, sprinkle the remaining fried onions on top and bake for an additional 5-10 minutes.
- Let the casserole rest for a few minutes before serving.
