Ingredients
Method
Cook the Pasta:
- Bring a large pot of salted water to a boil.
- Add the pasta and cook according to package instructions until al dente.
- Drain and set aside, reserving ½ cup of pasta water.
Cook the Bacon:
- In a large skillet over medium heat, cook the chopped bacon until crispy, about 5-7 minutes.
- Remove the bacon and place it on a paper towel-lined plate. Leave about 2 tablespoons of bacon grease in the skillet.
Make the Creamy Sauce:
- Add minced garlic to the skillet and sauté for 1 minute until fragrant.
- Pour in the heavy cream and milk, stirring to combine.
- Add Parmesan cheese, black pepper, red pepper flakes, salt, and Italian seasoning.
- Stir continuously over low heat until the cheese melts and the sauce thickens.
Combine Everything:
- Add the cooked pasta to the skillet and toss to coat in the sauce.
- Stir in the crispy bacon, reserving some for garnish.
- If the sauce is too thick, add a splash of reserved pasta water to loosen it.
Serve and Enjoy:
- Plate the pasta and sprinkle with fresh parsley, crispy bacon bits, and extra Parmesan cheese.
- Serve immediately and enjoy the creamy, smoky goodness!
