Ingredients
  

  • 1 lb large shrimp peeled and deveined
  • 8 oz fettuccine or linguine
  • 2 tablespoons butter
  • 1 tablespoon olive oil
  • 4 cloves garlic minced
  • 1 cup heavy cream
  • ½ cup grated parmesan cheese
  • Salt and pepper to taste
  • Fresh parsley for garnish

Method
 

  1. Cook pasta according to package directions. Drain and set aside
  2. In a large skillet, heat butter and olive oil over medium heat
  3. Add garlic and sauté until fragrant, about 1 minute
  4. Add shrimp, season with salt and pepper, and cook 2 minutes per side or until pink
  5. Pour in heavy cream and bring to a simmer
  6. Stir in parmesan cheese and cook until sauce thickens
  7. Toss in pasta and mix to coat. Serve topped with fresh parsley
