Method
- Preheat oven to 375°F (190°C).
- Steam or blanch broccoli and cauliflower until just tender.
- In a saucepan, melt butter and whisk in flour. Cook 1 minute.
- Slowly whisk in milk; cook until thickened.
- Stir in garlic powder, salt, pepper, and half of the cheddar.
- Mix cheese sauce with vegetables and pour into baking dish.
- Top with remaining cheddar and Parmesan.
- Bake for 20–25 minutes until golden and bubbly.
Notes
- Add cooked bacon or crushed Ritz crackers on top for extra indulgence.
