Step‑by‑Step Instructions
- Begin by washing and drying the Yukon Gold potatoes thoroughly. Carefully slice them into ½-inch thick slabs.
- To achieve the perfect accordion cut, place chopsticks along each side of the potato slices as guides. Make vertical cuts down the length of the potato.
- Once sliced, immerse the potato slices in a large bowl of cold water and let them soak for at least 30 minutes.
- While the potatoes soak, preheat your oven to 425°F (220°C) and line a baking sheet with parchment paper.
- After soaking, carefully drain the potatoes and pat them dry with paper towels.
- In a small bowl, melt the butter, then mix in the paprika, garlic powder, and onion powder. Brush this mixture over the tops of the potato slices.
- Place the seasoned potato slices on the baking sheet, cut side up. Bake for 20 minutes. Flip and bake for an additional 20 to 25 minutes.
- Once crispy and browned, remove from the oven, cool slightly, and sprinkle with flaky salt and parsley before serving.
