For the Cauliflower Wings
  • 1 medium head Cauliflower fresh
  • 1 cup Almond Flour or Panko breadcrumbs
  • 1/4 cup Cornstarch or Arrowroot
  • 1/4 cup Rice Flour optional
  • 1 tbsp Garlic Powder or fresh minced garlic
  • 1/2 tsp Black Pepper freshly ground
  • 1 tsp Salt adjust to taste
  • 2 tbsp Oil for coating
For the Sauce
  • 1/4 cup Soy Sauce or Tamari for gluten-free
  • 1 tbsp Vinegar apple cider or rice vinegar
  • 1 tbsp Siracha or Chili Garlic Sauce
  • 1 tbsp Jaggery Powder or Brown Sugar or Maple Syrup
For Garnish
  • 2 tbsp Sesame Seeds optional
  • 2 tbsp Spring Onion Greens chopped for garnish

Method
 

Preparation Steps
  1. Begin by rinsing and cutting the cauliflower into bite-sized florets.
  2. In a mixing bowl, combine cornstarch, rice flour, garlic powder, pepper, and salt, then add water to create a slurry.
  3. Dip each floret into the slurry and roll in almond flour.
  4. Preheat air fryer to 200°C (400°F) for 5 minutes and lightly oil the basket.
  5. Place florets in the air fryer basket and cook for 12-15 minutes, shaking halfway through.
  6. While cooking, heat oil in a saucepan, sauté garlic, then add soy sauce, vinegar, siracha, and jaggery. Simmer until thickened.
  7. Toss cooked wings in sauce, garnish with sesame seeds and spring onion, and serve immediately.
