  • Mixing Bowl
  • Baking pan
  • Measuring Cups
  • Measuring Spoons
  • kitchen towel

Method

Preparation Steps
  1. In a small bowl, combine 1 cup of warm water with 1 tablespoon of sugar. Sprinkle 2 teaspoons of yeast and let it sit for 5-10 minutes until frothy.
  2. In a large mixing bowl, combine 3 cups of all-purpose flour and 2 teaspoons of kosher salt. Add the activated yeast mixture and 3 tablespoons of olive oil, mixing until a sticky dough forms.
  3. Cover the bowl with plastic wrap or a towel and let it rise in a warm area for 1 to 1½ hours, or until it has doubled in size.
  4. While the dough rises, prepare toppings: mince fresh garlic, grate Parmesan cheese, and chop fresh herbs if desired.
  5. Drizzle olive oil in a 9x13-inch baking pan. Transfer the risen dough to the pan and stretch it to cover the bottom.
  6. Press dimples into the dough using your fingertips, ensuring they are deep enough to hold the toppings.
  7. Scatter minced garlic evenly over the dough, then top with grated Parmesan and any chopped herbs. Add flaky sea salt if desired.
  8. Loosely cover the pan with a towel and let it rise for 20-30 minutes while preheating the oven to 425°F.
  9. Bake in the preheated oven for 20-25 minutes until golden brown and crispy. Let it rest for 10 minutes before slicing.
