Ingredients

  • Medium apples 2, peeled, cored, and diced
  • Unsalted butter 2 tablespoons
  • Granulated sugar 1/3 cup
  • Ground cinnamon 1 teaspoon
  • Cornstarch 1 tablespoon
  • Water 2 tablespoons
For the Dough:
  • Refrigerated biscuit dough 1 can, 8 biscuits
  • Unsalted butter melted (1/2 cup)
  • Granulated sugar 1 cup
  • Ground cinnamon 1 tablespoon

Method

  1. Make the Apple Filling: In a pan over medium heat, melt the butter and add diced apples, sugar, and cinnamon. Cook for 3-4 minutes until softened. Mix cornstarch with water and stir into the apples. Cook until thickened, then remove from heat.
  2. Prepare the Dough: Preheat the oven to 350°F (175°C) and grease a baking dish. Flatten each biscuit dough round and place a spoonful of apple filling in the center. Seal the edges to form a ball.
  3. Coat and Bake: Dip each dough ball in melted butter, then roll in the cinnamon-sugar mixture. Place in the baking dish and bake for 18-20 minutes until golden brown.
  4. Serve and Enjoy: Let cool slightly before serving. Enjoy warm for the best flavor!

Notes

  • For extra crunch, add chopped pecans or walnuts to the filling.
  • Drizzle with caramel sauce for an indulgent twist.
  • Store leftovers in an airtight container for up to 3 days and reheat in the oven for a crispy texture.
