Toss the tofu cubes in the cornstarch mixture until evenly coated.
In a large skillet, heat about 1/4 inch of vegetable oil over medium-high heat.
Once the oil is hot, carefully add the coated tofu cubes in a single layer.
Fry for about 3-4 minutes on each side, or until golden brown and crispy.
Using a slotted spoon, transfer the fried tofu to a plate lined with paper towels to drain excess oil.
Garnish the crispy tofu with sliced green onions and fresh cilantro before serving.
