  • 1 cup lukewarm water Around 95°F for ideal results.
Coating Ingredients
  • cup warm water For coating mixture.
  • 2 tablespoons honey Can substitute with sugar or petimezi.
  • ½ cup sesame seeds For coating the rings.

Method
 

Dough Preparation
  1. In a large mixing bowl or stand mixer, combine the ingredients for the dough and mix on low speed for about 10 minutes until smooth and elastic.
Shape the Rings
  1. Divide the dough into 6 equal pieces, roll each into a log, and connect the ends to form rings.
Rest the Dough
  1. Place the rings on a parchment-lined baking sheet, cover with a towel, and let them rest for about 30 minutes.
Prepare Coating Mixture
  1. Mix warm water with honey in a shallow bowl, then spread sesame seeds on a separate plate.
Coat the Rings
  1. Dip each ring in the honey water mixture and roll in sesame seeds, pressing gently to adhere.
Bake the Rings
  1. Preheat oven to 400°F (convection) or 425°F (conventional), then bake the rings for about 20 minutes until golden brown.
Cooling the Rings
  1. Allow the baked rings to cool on the baking sheet for a few minutes before serving.
