Prepare the Chicken: Place the chicken breasts in the crockpot.
Make the Sauce: In a bowl, whisk together barbecue sauce, apple cider vinegar, brown sugar, Worcestershire sauce, garlic powder, onion powder, smoked paprika, salt, and black pepper.
Cook: Pour the sauce over the chicken, making sure each piece is well coated. Cover and cook on low for 6-7 hours or high for 3-4 hours until the chicken is tender and easily shreds with a fork.
Shred and Mix: Remove the chicken from the crockpot, shred it with two forks, then return it to the sauce. Stir well to coat the shredded chicken in the barbecue sauce.
