  • 4 tablespoons Fig preserves Can swap with other jams like apricot.
  • 1 tablespoon Fresh thyme leaves Rosemary can be used as an alternative.
  • 2 tablespoons Coarse sugar Optional, for added crunch.
  • 1/2 cup Chopped pecans Can be omitted or replaced with walnuts.
Optional Additions
  • 1 pinch Black pepper Optional, for balance.
  • 1/2 cup Chopped walnuts Optional, for extra texture.

Method
 

Step-by-Step Instructions
  1. Preheat your oven to 375°F (190°C).
  2. On a lightly floured surface, roll out the thawed puff pastry into a rectangle about ¼ inch thick.
  3. Position the wheel of Brie cheese in the center of the puff pastry. Drizzle honey and spread fig preserves on top.
  4. Fold the pastry over the Brie, pinching edges securely.
  5. Brush the surface with the beaten egg and sprinkle with coarse sugar and pecans if desired.
  6. Place on a baking sheet lined with parchment paper and bake for 20-25 minutes until golden.
  7. Allow to cool for 5 minutes before slicing and serving warm with crackers or fruit.
