- Line an 8x8-inch pan with aluminum foil and lightly grease it.

- Reserve ½ cup of batter and mix with water, then pour the remaining batter into the pan.

- Spread the cheesecake layer over the brownie layer evenly.
- Drop dollops of reserved brownie batter over the cheesecake layer and swirl with a knife.
- Bake for 30-35 minutes, covering with foil after 20 minutes to prevent over-browning.
- Cool in the pan for 1.5 to 2 hours before slicing into squares.
