Method

Step-by-Step Instructions
  1. In a microwave-safe bowl, combine 1 cup of semi-sweet chocolate chips and ½ cup of creamy peanut butter. Microwave on high for 30 seconds, then stir until smooth. Return to microwave if needed, creating a chocolate mixture.
  2. In a mixing bowl, cream together ½ cup softened butter and ½ cup chunky peanut butter for 2-3 minutes. Gradually add in 2 cups powdered sugar until thick and creamy.
  3. Fold in the crushed vanilla wafers and 1 cup mini chocolate chips until just combined to maintain texture.
  4. Prepare a 9x13-inch baking dish by greasing it. Transfer the mixture, spreading out evenly and pressing down firmly.
  5. Pour the melted chocolate-peanut mixture over the top and spread it evenly.
  6. Sprinkle ½ cup chopped peanuts or crushed pretzels over the chocolate topping. Chill for 1-2 hours until set.
  7. Remove from fridge and cut into squares or bars, then serve.
