Preparation Steps
- Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C) and grease a 9x13 inch baking pan.
- In a mixing bowl, combine flour, brown sugar, and salt. Cut in butter until the mixture resembles coarse crumbs.
- Press the mixture into the prepared pan and bake for 12-15 minutes until lightly golden.
- In a saucepan, combine brown sugar, heavy cream, and butter. Stir over medium heat until boiling.
- Reduce heat to low and simmer caramel for about 5 minutes, then stir in pecans.
- Pour the caramel over the crust and bake for an additional 10-12 minutes until set.
- Let the bars cool completely before melting the chocolate chips to drizzle on top.
- Drizzle the melted chocolate and allow to set before cutting into squares.
