Preparation Steps
  1. Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C) and grease a 9x13 inch baking pan.
  2. In a mixing bowl, combine flour, brown sugar, and salt. Cut in butter until the mixture resembles coarse crumbs.
  3. Press the mixture into the prepared pan and bake for 12-15 minutes until lightly golden.
  4. In a saucepan, combine brown sugar, heavy cream, and butter. Stir over medium heat until boiling.
  5. Reduce heat to low and simmer caramel for about 5 minutes, then stir in pecans.
  6. Pour the caramel over the crust and bake for an additional 10-12 minutes until set.
  7. Let the bars cool completely before melting the chocolate chips to drizzle on top.
  8. Drizzle the melted chocolate and allow to set before cutting into squares.
