Step-by-Step Instructions for Crispy Air Fryer Dehydrated Strawberries
- Start by washing the fresh strawberries under cool water to remove any dirt or impurities. Pat them dry thoroughly with a clean towel. Remove the green stems and leaves, then slice the strawberries into even ¼ to ⅜ inch thick slices.
- Set your air fryer to preheat at 180°F. If your air fryer doesn’t go that low, you can use 200°F instead. Allow it to heat for about 5 minutes.
- Line the air fryer basket with parchment paper. Carefully place the sliced strawberries in a single layer, ensuring they don’t overlap.
- Insert the basket into the preheated air fryer and set a timer for 1 hour. Halfway through, around the 30-minute mark, open the air fryer and gently flip the strawberry slices.
- Once the timer goes off, carefully remove the basket and check the strawberries. If they are still slightly chewy, continue air frying in 5-minute increments until fully dried. Allow the dehydrated strawberries to cool completely.
- After cooling, transfer the crispy dehydrated strawberries to an airtight container. Store them in a cool, dry place or in the refrigerator.
