  • 1/2 cup Sour Cream can use Greek yogurt as an alternative
  • 1/2 cup Seltzer any carbonated beverage works
  • 1/4 cup Butter melted (plus 1 tbsp for brushing)
  • 1 tbsp Maple Syrup honey is a good substitution
  • 5 slices Bacon cooked and crumbled
  • 1 tsp Kosher Salt
  • 6 Eggs
  • 1 tbsp Chopped Chives can use green onions
  • Black Pepper to taste
  • 1 tsp Lemon Juice optional, vinegar could be a substitute
  • 1 cup Grated Cheddar can substitute with mozzarella or dairy-free cheese

Method
 

Step-by-Step Instructions
  1. Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C) and grease a standard loaf pan with melted butter.
  2. In a large mixing bowl, whisk together 2 cups of Bisquick and set aside.
  3. In a separate bowl, blend together ½ cup of sour cream, ½ cup of seltzer, ¼ cup of melted butter, and 1 tablespoon of maple syrup until smooth.
  4. Add 6 eggs to the wet mixture and whisk until combined, then pour into the dry ingredients and fold them together gently.
  5. Fold in the crumbled bacon, kosher salt, chopped chives, black pepper, and grated cheddar cheese evenly.
  6. Pour the batter into the prepared loaf pan and smooth the top with a spatula.
  7. Bake for 35-40 minutes, or until golden and a toothpick comes out clean.
  8. Let the bread cool in the pan for about 10 minutes before transferring to a wire rack to cool completely.
