Cooking Instructions
  1. Melt 2 tablespoons of unsalted butter in a skillet over medium-low heat. Add the large sweet onions, stirring occasionally. Cook for about 30 minutes until the onions are golden and fragrant.
  2. In a bowl, combine mayonnaise, ketchup, yellow mustard, garlic powder, and ground black pepper. Mix until smooth and creamy, then set aside.
  3. Heat the cast-iron skillet over medium-high heat and add 2 tablespoons of butter. Once melted, add the sirloin steak burgers, cooking according to package instructions.
  4. Spread the tangy sauce on one side of each bread slice. Layer with caramelized onions, burger patties, and cheeses. Top with another slice of bread, sauce side down.
  5. Add 2 tablespoons of butter to the skillet over medium-low heat. Cook the assembled sandwiches for 4-5 minutes per side until golden brown and crisp.
  6. Remove the sandwiches from the skillet and let them rest for a moment. Slice in half, serve warm, and enjoy.
