Ingredients

  • 1 sheet puff pastry thawed
  • 2 tablespoons melted butter
  • ¼ cup granulated sugar
  • 1 teaspoon cinnamon
  • ½ teaspoon vanilla extract optional
  • Powdered sugar for dusting optional

Method

  1. Preheat the oven to 375°F (190°C). Grease a muffin tin.
  2. Prepare the pastry: Roll out the puff pastry sheet into a large rectangle. Brush with melted butter.
  3. Add the filling: Mix sugar and cinnamon in a bowl, then sprinkle evenly over the buttered pastry.
  4. Roll and cut: Roll the pastry tightly into a log, then slice it into 6 equal pieces.
  5. Shape the cruffins: Place each piece into a muffin cup, cut side up.
  6. Bake: Bake for 18-20 minutes or until golden brown and puffed.
  7. Cool & serve: Let them cool slightly, then dust with powdered sugar. Enjoy warm!

Notes

  • Try different fillings like chocolate chips, fruit preserves, or Nutella.
  • Store leftovers in an airtight container for up to 2 days. Reheat in the oven for a fresh-baked taste.
  • For extra flakiness, use homemade croissant dough instead of puff pastry.
