Method
 

Preparation Steps
  1. Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C).
  2. In a large mixing bowl, combine the thawed cubed hash browns, crumbled bacon, 1/2 cup of shredded cheddar cheese, and a sprinkle of salt. Mix thoroughly.
  3. Spoon the hash brown mixture into a greased 13x9-inch baking dish, spreading it evenly.
  4. In a separate bowl, whisk together the eggs and 2% milk until well blended.
  5. Carefully pour the egg mixture over the assembled hash brown layer in the baking dish.
  6. Dust the top of the casserole with a light sprinkle of paprika.
  7. Place the casserole in the preheated oven and bake uncovered for 45–50 minutes.
  8. Once baked, sprinkle the remaining shredded cheddar cheese on top and return to oven for an additional 5–10 minutes.
  9. After cooling for a few minutes, slice into portions and serve hot.
