Ingredients

  • 1 tbsp Vegetable Oil Can substitute with sesame oil.
  • 2 cloves Garlic Freshly minced recommended.
For the Vegetables
  • 2 cups Green Cabbage Can substitute with bok choy or napa cabbage.
  • 1 cup Carrots Shredded zucchini can be an alternative.
  • 1 cup Mushrooms Shiitake or button, can substitute with bell peppers.
  • 3 stalks Green Onions Optional for garnish.
For the Sauce
  • 3 tbsp Hoisin Sauce Can substitute with a homemade mix of soy sauce and sugar.
For Serving
  • 8 Moo Shu Pancakes/Flour Tortillas Tortillas are a quick alternative.

Method
 

Cooking Instructions
  1. In a medium bowl, combine sliced chicken with soy sauce and cornstarch. Let it marinate for about 10 minutes.
  2. Heat 1 tablespoon of vegetable oil in a large skillet over medium-high heat for about 1 minute.
  3. Add the marinated chicken to the skillet and stir-fry for 5-7 minutes until golden brown.
  4. Stir in minced garlic and sauté for 1-2 minutes until fragrant.
  5. Add chopped green cabbage, shredded carrots, and sliced mushrooms. Stir-fry for 2-3 minutes.
  6. Pour in the hoisin sauce, stirring to combine everything thoroughly. Cook for an additional 1-2 minutes.
  7. Warm the Moo Shu pancakes or flour tortillas in a separate skillet for about 30 seconds on each side.
  8. Spoon the chicken and vegetable mixture onto the warm pancakes or tortillas. Fold to create wraps.
  9. Garnish with sliced green onions or sesame seeds before serving.
