Step-by-Step Instructions for Shiroi Koibito
  1. Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C) and line a baking sheet with parchment paper.
  2. Cream together room temperature butter and granulated sugar for 2 to 3 minutes until light and fluffy.
  3. Add the egg and vanilla extract, mixing on low to medium speed until fully combined.
  4. Gradually sift in the flour while mixing on low speed until just incorporated.
  5. Portion out the dough on the baking sheet and shape into rounds, leaving space between each.
  6. Bake for 15 to 20 minutes, or until edges are lightly golden.
  7. Allow cookies to cool on the baking sheet for about 5 minutes.
  8. Melt the white chocolate in a microwave-safe bowl in 30-second intervals, stirring until smooth.
