- In a small bowl, whisk together soy sauce, honey or brown sugar, rice vinegar, water, minced ginger, and minced garlic until the sugar completely dissolves. Set aside the sauce.
- Heat vegetable oil in a large skillet over medium-high heat until shimmering. Season chicken thighs with salt and pepper, then add them to the skillet. Sear the chicken for about 5–7 minutes until golden brown and cooked through.
