  • 1 cup Granulated Sugar add gradually
  • 1/2 teaspoon Cream of Tartar can substitute with lemon juice
  • 1 teaspoon Vanilla Extract
  • several drops Green Gel Food Coloring gel is best over liquid
For Decoration
  • to taste Sprinkles optional, choose festive shapes

Method
 

Step-by-Step Instructions
  1. Preheat your oven to 225°F (110°C) and line a baking sheet with parchment paper.
  2. Whisk the egg whites on medium speed until frothy, about 2 minutes.
  3. Add cream of tartar and whisk until soft peaks form.
  4. Gradually add sugar, one tablespoon at a time, whisking until stiff peaks form, about 8-10 minutes.
  5. Gently fold in vanilla extract and green gel food coloring.
  6. Transfer the meringue mixture into a piping bag fitted with a large star tip.
  7. Pipe tree shapes on the prepared baking sheet.
  8. Bake for 1 hour and 30 minutes without opening the oven door.
  9. Turn off the oven and let meringues cool inside with the door slightly ajar for about 30 minutes.
