Ingredients
  

For the Refresher Base
  • 2 cups Water
  • 1/2 cup Blackberry Syrup Homemade optional
  • 1/2 teaspoon Blackberry Extract Can substitute with raspberry extract
  • 1/4 teaspoon Citric Acid Available in specialty food shops
  • 1 teaspoon Ground Sage Fresh sage can be used
For the Midnight Blend
  • 1/2 cup Sweetened Coconut Milk Unsweetened for lower sugar
  • 1 cup Ice For chilling
  • Fresh Blackberries For garnish

Method
 

Making the Midnight Drink
  1. In a medium saucepan, combine water, blackberry syrup, blackberry extract, citric acid, and ground sage. Heat over medium heat and simmer for 2-3 minutes until the ingredients meld together.
  2. Remove from heat and transfer to a large glass jar or bowl. Allow it to cool completely, about 15-20 minutes.
  3. Fill a cocktail shaker with ice. Add 1/2 cup of the cooled refresher base and 1/2 cup of sweetened coconut milk. Shake gently for about 30 seconds.
  4. Prepare a tall glass with fresh ice. Pour the shaken Midnight Drink over the ice and garnish with fresh blackberries.
