Preheat the oven to 325°F and place the ham in a large roasting pan, cut side down. Score the surface of the ham in a crisscross pattern.
In a saucepan over medium heat, combine brown sugar, ground cloves, and the juice from the canned pineapple. Stir and simmer until the sugar dissolves and the glaze slightly thickens.
Arrange pineapple rings over the ham, securing them with toothpicks.
Brush the ham generously with the prepared glaze. Cover loosely with foil and bake for 2 ½ to 3 hours, basting with glaze every 30 minutes.
In the last 30 minutes of baking, remove the foil to allow the glaze to caramelize and form a beautiful golden-brown crust.
Remove the ham from the oven and let it rest for 15 minutes before slicing and serving.
