Ingredients
Method
1. Season and Sear the Pork Chops
- Generously season both sides of the pork chops with salt and pepper.
- Heat olive oil in a large skillet over medium-high heat.
- Sear the pork chops for about 4-5 minutes per side until golden brown. Remove from the skillet and set aside.
2. Prepare the Mushroom Sauce
- In the same skillet, add sliced mushrooms and diced onions.
- Sauté for about 5 minutes until the mushrooms are golden and the onions turn translucent.
- Stir in the minced garlic and cook for 1 minute until fragrant.
3. Create the Creamy Base
- Pour in the chicken broth, scraping up any browned bits from the bottom of the skillet.
- Reduce the heat to medium-low and stir in the heavy cream, Worcestershire sauce, garlic powder, and onion powder.
- Mix well and let the sauce simmer for 2-3 minutes to thicken slightly.
4. Simmer the Pork Chops
- Return the pork chops to the skillet, spooning the sauce over them.
- Cover and let them simmer for 15-20 minutes until tender and fully cooked.
5. Garnish and Serve
- Taste the sauce and adjust the seasoning with additional salt and pepper if needed.
- Garnish with fresh parsley and serve hot with your favorite side dishes.
Notes
-
- For extra tenderness, use bone-in pork chops and let them simmer longer for melt-in-your-mouth results.
- Substitutions: Swap heavy cream for half-and-half for a lighter version.
- Storage: Keep leftovers in an airtight container in the refrigerator for up to 3 days.
- Reheating Tip: Warm over low heat to maintain the creamy texture.
