Ingredients
  

  • 1 lb large shrimp peeled and deveined
  • 2 tablespoons olive oil
  • 2 tablespoons butter
  • 4 cloves garlic minced
  • 1 teaspoon red pepper flakes optional
  • 1 medium head of broccoli cut into florets
  • 1 tablespoon lemon juice
  • Salt and pepper to taste
  • Fresh parsley chopped (for garnish, optional)

Method
 

  1. Cook the Shrimp: Heat 1 tablespoon of olive oil in a large skillet over medium-high heat. Add the shrimp, season with salt and pepper, and cook for 2–3 minutes per side until they turn pink and opaque. Remove the shrimp from the skillet and set aside.
  2. Sauté the Broccoli: In the same skillet, add the remaining tablespoon of olive oil and butter. Add the broccoli florets and sauté for 5–7 minutes, stirring occasionally, until tender and slightly crispy on the edges.
  3. Add Garlic and Red Pepper Flakes: Add the minced garlic and red pepper flakes (if using) to the skillet. Sauté for 1–2 minutes until fragrant.
  4. Combine Shrimp and Broccoli: Return the shrimp to the skillet with the broccoli. Add lemon juice and toss everything together until the shrimp and broccoli are evenly coated with the garlic and butter sauce.
  5. Serve: Garnish with fresh parsley, if desired, and serve immediately.
