Ingredients

  • 2 pounds boneless skinless chicken thighs
  • 1/4 cup hot honey store-bought or homemade
  • 1/4 cup olive oil
  • 2 tablespoons apple cider vinegar
  • 2 teaspoons garlic powder
  • 1 teaspoon onion powder
  • 1 teaspoon smoked paprika
  • 1 teaspoon salt
  • 1/2 teaspoon black pepper
  • 1/2 teaspoon red pepper flakes optional, for extra heat

Method

  1. In a large bowl, whisk together the hot honey, olive oil, apple cider vinegar, garlic powder, onion powder, smoked paprika, salt, black pepper, and red pepper flakes if using.
  2. Add the chicken thighs to the bowl, ensuring they are well coated with the marinade. Cover and refrigerate for at least 1 hour, or up to 8 hours for more flavor.
  3. Preheat your grill to medium-high heat.
  4. Remove the chicken from the marinade, allowing excess marinade to drip off. Discard the remaining marinade.
  5. Place the chicken thighs on the grill and cook for about 6-7 minutes per side, or until the internal temperature reaches 165°F.
  6. Remove the chicken from the grill and let it rest for 5 minutes before slicing.
  7. Drizzle additional hot honey over the chicken before serving, if desired.
