Step-by-Step Instructions for Sweet Potato Gnocchi
  1. Preheat your oven to 180°C (360°F) to get it nice and toasty for roasting.
  2. Prick the sweet potatoes with a fork, place them in a baking dish, and roast for about 60 minutes, turning halfway through.
  3. Once cooked, let the sweet potatoes cool, then peel and mash them until smooth.
  4. Gradually add flour to the mashed sweet potato, mixing until a smooth dough forms.
  5. Divide the dough into four portions, flatten each to about ½ inch thick, and cut into small pieces before shaping into gnocchi.
  6. Boil salted water, drop in the gnocchi, and cook for 2-3 minutes until they float to the surface.
  7. Drain the cooked gnocchi and optionally sauté in butter or olive oil before serving.
