- In a small pan, combine walnuts, sugar, and water. Bring to a boil and cook for 2 minutes. Remove and dry on parchment.
- In a bowl, whisk mayonnaise, honey, and condensed milk. Set aside.
- Coat shrimp in egg whites, then dredge in cornstarch.
- Heat oil in a skillet and fry shrimp until golden and crispy. Drain on paper towels.
- Toss fried shrimp with the honey sauce.
- Serve topped with candied walnuts.
Notes
- Use raw, not pre-cooked shrimp for best results.
- Double the sauce if you like it extra creamy.
- Can be served over jasmine rice or noodles.
- For a lighter version, air fry the shrimp instead.
- Store leftover candied walnuts for snacks or salads.
