Step-by-Step Instructions
- Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C) and prepare a 9x5-inch loaf pan by greasing it with butter or lining it with parchment paper.
- In a large mixing bowl, whisk together one large egg, light brown sugar, canola or vegetable oil, granulated sugar, sour cream, instant espresso granules, and vanilla extract until smooth.
- Add all-purpose flour, baking powder, baking soda, and salt into the bowl. Gently stir until just combined.
- Fold in the mashed ripe bananas until evenly incorporated.
- Pour the batter into the greased loaf pan, smoothing the top gently.
- Drizzle thick caramel sauce over the batter and gently swirl it with a knife.
- Bake for 45-50 minutes. Check for doneness with a toothpick.
- Allow the bread to cool in the pan on a wire rack for about 10-15 minutes.
- For the glaze, melt unsalted butter in a saucepan and stir in brown sugar and vanilla extract. Simmer for a few minutes.
- Once the bread has cooled, drizzle the glaze over the top.

Notes
Use very ripe bananas for maximum sweetness. Stick to instant espresso granules to achieve the right coffee flavor.
