Preparing the Pies
- In a large mixing bowl, combine flour and salt. Gradually add warm water and oil, mixing until dough forms. Knead until smooth and elastic, about 8 minutes.
- Cover with a damp cloth and let it rest for 30 minutes.
- In another bowl, mix ground beef, green onion, onion, oyster sauce, soy sauce, black pepper, ginger, and water until well combined. Cook a small spoonful for 2 minutes to taste and adjust seasoning.
- Divide rested dough into 8 pieces, roll into balls, and flatten into circles. Place 2.5 tablespoons of filling in each, fold over, and seal the edges tightly.
- Brush the tops with water and sprinkle sesame seeds. Set aside.
- Heat a skillet with oil over medium heat. Cook the pies for about 4 minutes until golden brown, flip, and cook for another 3-4 minutes.
- Transfer to a plate lined with paper towels. Serve hot with dipping sauce.
