Step‑by‑Step Instructions for Lemon Paprika Roast
  1. In a medium bowl, whisk together lemon juice, olive oil, smoked paprika, crushed garlic, salt, and pepper until well combined.
  2. Place chicken thighs in a resealable bag or bowl and pour marinade over the top. Seal or cover and refrigerate for at least 30 minutes, preferably up to 4 hours.
  3. Preheat your oven to 425°F (220°C). This allows even cooking and a crispy texture.
  4. Remove chicken from the refrigerator and let it reach room temperature for about 10 minutes. Line a baking sheet with parchment paper and arrange chicken thighs skin-side up.
  5. Roast chicken thighs in the preheated oven for 35 to 40 minutes or until golden brown and internal temperature reaches 165°F (74°C). Baste halfway with collected juices.
