  1. Line an 8-inch square baking pan with parchment paper and preheat your oven to 350°F (180°C).
  2. In a mixing bowl, beat butter, brown sugar, granulated sugar, and sea salt until creamy, about 2-3 minutes.
  3. Incorporate egg and vanilla extract into the mixture and beat until fully combined, about 1 minute.
