Step‑by‑Step Instructions
  1. Preheat your oven to 400°F (200°C) and gather your ingredients and equipment.

  3. Combine the softened cream cheese, granulated sugar, lemon juice, lemon zest, and egg yolk in a bowl until smooth and creamy.
  4. Spread a spoonful of the cream cheese mixture on each pastry square and top with sliced strawberries.
  5. Fold edges of pastry squares over the filling, pinch corners, and brush tops with beaten egg.
  6. Bake in the preheated oven for 18–20 minutes until golden brown.
  7. Mix powdered sugar with fresh lemon juice to prepare the lemon glaze.
  8. Drizzle lemon glaze over the warm pastries after cooling for a few minutes.
