  • 300 g Oyster Mushrooms Larger ones for better texture
  • 200 ml Unsweetened Soy Milk Can substitute with other plant-based milk
  • 80 g Spices Mix Includes garlic salt, onion powder, paprika
  • 1 tbsp Nutritional Yeast Optional for flavor
  • 1 cup Plain All-Purpose Flour Gluten-free flour works too
  • 1 tsp Baking Powder For texture
Frying Ingredients
  • 2 cups Oil High smoke-point oil like vegetable or canola oil

Method
 

Preparation
  1. Clean and dry the oyster mushrooms. Tear larger mushrooms into similar-sized pieces.
  2. Combine the spices in a mixing bowl and mix well.
  3. Whisk the spice mix with soy milk and nutritional yeast until smooth, then let it rest.
  4. Coat each mushroom piece in the batter, then roll in the dry spice mixture.
  5. Heat oil in a pan. Fry mushrooms in batches for 3-5 minutes until golden brown.
  6. Remove fried mushrooms and drain on oil-absorbing paper.
  7. Squeeze lime juice over the mushrooms before serving.
