Step-by-Step Instructions
  1. In a medium bowl, combine brown sugar, smoked paprika, coarse salt, onion powder, garlic powder, ground mustard, black pepper, and cayenne pepper until well mixed.
  2. Generously rub the mixture over the bone-in country style ribs and let sit for about an hour.
  3. Spray the bottom of your slow cooker with cooking spray and layer the sliced onions evenly.
  4. Place the seasoned country style ribs on top of the sliced onions in the slow cooker.
  5. In a separate bowl, whisk together the chicken broth, apple cider vinegar, Worcestershire sauce, and liquid smoke. Pour over the ribs.
  6. Cover the slow cooker and set it to cook on low for 4-6 hours.
  7. Once cooked, serve the ribs drizzled with the flavorful cooking juices.
