Ingredients
  

Rice Mixture
  • 2 cups Cooked Rice Use short or medium grain rice.
  • 1 cup Zucchini Finely chopped.
  • 1 cup Carrots Finely chopped.
  • 1 tablespoon Toasted Sesame Oil Can substitute with olive oil.
  • 2 tablespoons Seasoned Rice Vinegar Use apple cider vinegar if preferred.
Fillings
  • 1 cup Bulgogi (Beef) Can substitute with chicken or tofu.
  • 1 can Canned Salmon Substitutable with any canned fish or cooked grains.
Garnishing
  • 2 sheets Crushed Seaweed Sheets Optional garnish.

Method
 

Preparation Steps
  1. Heat a skillet over medium-high heat and add 1 teaspoon of toasted sesame oil. Add finely chopped zucchini and carrots; sauté for about 3-4 minutes.
  2. In a large mixing bowl, combine the warm cooked rice with the sautéed vegetables, remaining sesame oil, and seasoned rice vinegar. Mix thoroughly.
  3. Take about 2 tablespoons of the mixture and flatten it in your hand. Add your choice of filling, then mold into a compact ball.
  4. Continue shaping the remaining rice mixture into balls, applying sesame oil to your hands if necessary to prevent sticking.
  5. Arrange the rice balls on a serving platter and serve fresh with crushed seaweed sheets for garnish.
